BTWF Mission: “We are a city on a hill, changing lives, serving, and impacting our community!” (We strive for excellence in all that we do!)
The Year of 2025: The year 2025 is the year 5785 on the Hebrew calendar. For the Jewish people, 2025 is also a Jubilee year, or "Yovel", which is a year of economic and social equality. During a Jubilee year, debts are forgiven, and land is returned to its original families. The concept of a Jubilee year is a theme of redemption and renewal in both Jewish and Christian traditions.
Prophetic Forecast: A prophetic forecast offers a divinely inspired vision or insight into future events, emphasizing spiritual guidance, warnings, or encouragement. It often highlights upcoming challenges, opportunities, or shifts, urging individuals or communities to align with God's purpose, remain faithful, and prepare for what lies ahead. It is the view of someone’s future inspired by God. It is the redemptive plan God has for our lives through the power of the gospel of Jesus Christ.

The Purpose of Fasting
Fasting is mentioned in the Bible for various reasons, and its purpose can vary depending on the context. Here are some of the key reasons for fasting as mentioned in the Bible:
Spiritual Discipline and Humility: Fasting is often associated with spiritual discipline and a way to humble oneself before God. It is seen as a practice of self-denial and a means to focus on spiritual matters.
Matthew 6:16-18 (NIV) - "When you fast, do not look somber as the hypocrites do, for they disfigure their faces to show others they are fasting. Truly I tell you, they have their reward. But when you fast, put oil on your head and wash your face, so that it will not be obvious to others that you are fasting, but only to your Father, who is unseen; and your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you."
Seeking God's Guidance and Will: Fasting is sometimes associated with seeking God's guidance, wisdom, and discernment. It is a way to set aside time for prayer and seeking a deeper connection with God.
Ezra 8:23 (NIV) - "So we fasted and petitioned our God about this, and he answered our prayer."
Repentance and Mourning: Fasting is mentioned in the context of repentance and mourning for sins. It can be a way to express remorse and seek forgiveness.
Joel 2:12 (NIV) - "Even now," declares the LORD, "return to me with all your heart, with fasting and weeping and mourning."
Expressing Dependence on God: Fasting can be a way of acknowledging dependence on God and recognizing that sustenance comes not only from physical nourishment but also from a reliance on God.
Matthew 4:4 (NIV) - "Jesus answered, 'It is written: Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.”
Spiritual Refreshening- A time to rejuvenate the spirit, refocus the mind, and restore the soul through a deep connection with God.
Acts 3:19 (NIV)- Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord.
Important Note: It is highly recommended that you consult with your doctor or healthcare provider before making any decisions to refrain from consuming food or liquids. Your doctor can provide personalized advice based on your specific health needs, medical history, and any underlying conditions you may have. They will help ensure that any dietary changes you make are safe and appropriate for your health. Always seek professional medical guidance before making any significant alterations to your eating or drinking habits.

He has set a day when the entire human race will be judged, and everything set right. And he has already appointed the judge, confirming him before everyone by raising him from the dead.”
Acts 3:19

“Then the righteous will answer him, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?’
“The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’
Proverbs 27:17

God’s uncovering brings clarity, guidance, and a deeper understanding of His nature, while also exposing areas of sin, hidden motives, and misconceptions in our lives. The revelation may come through scripture, personal experiences, prophetic insight, or even through trials and challenges. Ultimately, God’s revealing is a call to deeper intimacy with Him and to align our lives with His truth.
